While they rarely admit as much, musicians often take for granted that their tracks will become outdated. Some people believe that nostalgic media shouldn't be judged according to current standards because trend changes alter perspectives. Great songs of the past contradict these staunch beliefs. Why shouldn't we criticize Billy Ray Cyrus' "Achy Breaky Heart" if we praise Queen's "We are the Champions"? Queen's diddy is still relevant when applied to today's standards while Billy Ray Cyrus' track is a source of laughter for most music fans.
Starting next week, I will begin reviewing nostalgic tracks of the 80's and 90's. To appease critics who believe that music appreciation is time-sensitive; I will review the tracks with regards to why we loved/ hated them then and why we hate them even more now. This blog is purposed to entertain and enlighten; don't take anything I say too seriously and enjoy!
See you next week,

Introduction to the Madness
I'm Da Musical Menace. Currently I'm a full time student with enough time on my hands to balance the national deficit. Well, maybe not that much time!
This blog is going to be a multi-faceted look into the life of a wanna be songwriter (Me) who reviews music, both old and new, to expose the disastrous effects that it had on our childhoods. This blog will be most nostalgic for the mid-to-late 20's crowd or those with knowledge of shitty 90's music.
Additionally, I will add my own shitty music to the fray and ask that you, the audience review it as it stacks up to the competition. Most of all, I just want to have fun with this blog and entertain my audience to boot.
Inspirations for this blog come from James Rolfe, The Angry Video Game Nerd, and The Nostalgia Critic. Both artists use quick wit and sick humor to illustrate their points. If you haven't checked them out yet then get the hell out of here and go get some!
